Finally, the big 5-0.
It’s outstanding to me that somehow, I’ve seen 50 Broadway shows. For the milestone, I took myself out on a solo date to see What the Constitution Means to Me.
Written and performed by Heidi Schreck, the play explores what the United States Constitution meant to her throughout her life through the stories of women in her family. At the end of the show, Schreck brings in a student from the New York City school system to have a live debate about the Constitution.
The play is a phenomenal example of how theatre can be used to reflect our society and make us think. Seriously, if you have the opportunity to see this play, go.
This time, I secured my ticket the same day through the theatre’s Rush policy. And ended up in the first row.
Did you have the opportunity to see What the Constitution Means to Me on Broadway or on tour? Let me know what you thought of the show!
